Rye, CO

Ages 7-17

Campers age 7-12 participate in Base Camp where they are assigned to cabins of 8-12 children of similar age.  These campers experience something new every day and they grow in confidence that comes from trying and succeeding as they learn the importance of healthy, long-lasting friendships.

Each cabin is led by two counselors. These cabin groups spend time each day building friendships while learning new skills such as horsemanship, marksmanship, survival skills or rock climbing. Evenings are for all camp games and campfires.

Wednesday night is "Pack-out". Every cabin packs up their gear and heads for the woods where they will spend one night cooking over a campfire and sleeping under the stars.

For teens, Adventure Camps are a natural extension of the Base Camp experience, tailored for the older camper.

Adventure programs recognize the developing needs of teens for more adventure and challenge. This is a unique camping experience, enhancing the development of: outdoor living skills, natural awareness, and close relationships with others.

Our LIT program introduces teens to interacting with groups and teaches how to bring groups of individuals together to complete an agreed upon goal.  They learn group dynamics, project planning and leadership styles.  For those interested in becoming a counselor, we have CIT programs that focus on leadership and counseling skills.
